EID MILAD-UN-NABI CELEBRATIONS IN MY CITY

In my city tonight, I observed how people celebrated the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Citizens spent their day in Jalsa ( religious rallies), in Mosques and on roads chilling and relaxing. Sorry to use the words chilling & relaxing as I have witnessed it tonight.

People throwing money and food packets on the visitors for the sake of Allah's & Prophet PBUH blessings.I don't think so whether Prophet SAW or Allah Almighty ever said that. Distributing money or food packets is good but if it is done in an ethical or decent way.

Then I saw people dancing on different Qawali's & Naat's. They were happy or emotional I don't know? But they were shouting as they were in some concert ......... but why? Don't know the answer....

I saw women, children & men on streets and roads laughing and enjoying rather spending their time  in remembering Allah & sending Durood on Holy Prophet SAW.

There were families, young people, kids and elders everybody was there with a smile on their faces which was a good sign but that smile was for Prophet SAW birth or the events they were enjoying??

Short Research on Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's Agenda

My recent university assignment was to select any issue and do qualitative research (content analysis) on it. So I selected Dr. TuQ's issue and coverage given to him by DAWN newspaper dated from 20-12-2012 to 3-01-2013 .

The objectives of research were

1.     To understand the agenda of Dr. TuQ
2.     To understand the views of political parties on his demands and speech?

The research only covers the news on front page of DAWN....( 15-day research)

At the end I got following results....

RESULTS

  1. Out of 15-day research, the number of news related to the case study was six
  2. 4 of the news belong to political parties and their support for Dr. TuQ agenda and tells about his demands.
  3. The political parties that are supporting Dr. TuQ include PML-Q and MQM while those, opposing his agenda of electoral reforms and demand of honest caretaker government are PML-N and PPP
  4. The results shows that the agenda of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri included these points....

  • Electoral reforms & demand of honest,
  •  independent caretaker government, people’s parliament and
  • military’s help in setting-up that caretaker government in Pakistan before elections.
